Nicole + Jake Wedding {Southern Vintage Circus}

Perhaps my favorite quote of all time, "Don't be like the rest of them, darling" truly embodies the wedding of Nicole + Jake; two of the sweetest, most unique people I have had the pleasure of working with. It is with MUCH joy and love that I share some sneak peeks from the fabulous Laura Parker of Fairy Tale Photography, of their wedding day.

Nicole, a tiny gorgeous version of tinker bell and Jake, her super sweet {and funny!} husband are definitely meant to be. Not only are they unique and wonderful, but their wedding party of tattoo artists, lifelong friends, and college buddies were as well. With equal parts eclectic, tattoo drawing rebel meets teddy bear sweet, I wanted to take each and every one of them home with me. Having a carnival themed wedding may seem odd to some, but it embodies what Nicole & Jake cherish most: fun with the ones they love... while sharing delicious food and drinks... and of course popcorn and peanuts...

See below their day of whimsy which will also be featured in D Weddings! The day would NOT have been complete without the gorgeous florals provided by the uber talented Brianne, owner of Blue Lotus Gardens. {I wanted to take her AND her flowers home too...} As no details were left to chance, it was no surprise that cakes from The Cake Guys showcased custom flash tattoo art by Jake's good friend, and delicious catering by Gil's incorporated stations with yummies such as: adult mac & cheese, bbq with homemade sauce made by a close friend, signature drinks accompanied by "bathtub wine" {made by yet ANOTHER friend, I'm tellin' ya, people love em'!} And... did I mention they had PASSED COOKIES & MILK as a late night snack? Um... yes please! To direct guests to these goodies was none other than the princess of all things paper, my friend Chelsea, owner of Southern Fried Paper. She created unique signs and even made custom popcorn bags for guests to take home their goodies in!

What carnival would be complete without a ring leader and some side shows? My dear friend Erin was the quintessential ring leader, announcing such fancies as an adorable dressed monkey with a tamer, and the live show by the cult favorite band: Whiskey Folk Ramblers.

Okay, Okay I will say no more, your anxious with anticipation I can tell... Why don't I just show you some sneak peeks of the big day?! More to come soon!!!

xoxo
