A Little Something Swanky...

For those of you who don't know, Fairytale Photography owner, Laura Parker, not only runs Fairy Tale Photography but Laura Parker Photography as well; which includes Photo Workshops where aspiring photographers get hands on experience shooting an actual wedding, while the bride and groom get their dream wedding shot by Laura and her talented workshop!

For one such shoot this month on the fabulous island of Puerto Rico, Laura asked if I had any ideas to incorporate starfish into the bridal bouquet somehow,  since the wedding would be beach themed... and, wah laa! below is my custom made starfish bouquet holder made from authentic star fish and adorned with tiny crystals on the tips!

It was actually fun to hold....  (what!? I had to try it out and pretend for one more minute that I was a blushing bride again!)

{Bollyrouge Wedding} Not Quite Bollywood, Not Exactly Moulin Rouge...

Rarely do I get to go CRAZY with color, detail and rhinestones... even though, those are a few of my favorite things! So when Laura Squire of Greg Blomberg Photography shared her vision of "Bollyrouge" I immediately jumped on board and began hand beading everything (including all the chargers, which I  beaded with thousands of tiny seed beads... sorry Bo I know we are STILL finding them in the carpet... Eeek!),  I also went on the hunt for colorful rhinestones, and elements that would embody a Bollywood wedding; but with a modern, youthful spin and dramatics of Moulin Rouge. The team of professionals that were on board made everything just PERFECT!

Enjoy the below pictures taken at Stephan Pyles’  Samar in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Oh...Speaking of movies... I think we deserve the award for "Best Picture" if I do say so myself...

Beth & Ron Hall Wedding: {Part 1}

Without further adeu....  "Part 1” of Beth and Ron’s wedding!

Thanks to Laura Parker of Fairytale Photography for the beautiful images! I can’t wait to see the rest of the amazing pictures she was able to capture!

Congratulations Beth & Ron!

Lets face it: A custom designed ring that rivals Princess Kate, deserves its’ own photo shoot... notice the “B” in the setting - sigh!

Possibly a favorite picture of mine below... Beth was surprised with a wedding band, I love the look on her face!

To add a fun update to a traditional vase, I used a lantern filled with natural starfish, that was topped by GORGEOUS blooms from, Bows & Arrows. I love unique favors, (and sweets!) so I suggested guests be greeted with custom placesettings by “Dude! Sweet Chocolate Bar”, with labels designed by Southern Fried Paper

 4 tiered nautical cake by the fabulous Heidi at Sugar Bee Sweets!

The night ended perfectly with a fireworks show that rivals any July 4th celebrations I’ve seen lately! Absolutely picture perfect...

Congratulations Beth & Ron - I wish you a lifetime of boat rides, dancing in the dark, and plenty of Basil Lime Chillers...
