We were so honored to be a part of Priscilla of Boston’s 65th Anniversary Party, as the event, hosted by Five Star Concierge only chose one vendor from each category!

Here is the write up in D Weddings Bridal Buzz:

"Priscilla of Boston is celebrating their 65th anniversary this Thursday with with an evening filled with gorgeous gowns and fabulous vendors. The event will benefit Vogel Alcove, an organization that helps homeless children. In keeping with the white, grey and purple color scheme, I created some unique arrangements and centerpieces for the event...

Enjoy some pictures from the night, courtesy of the fabulous Natalie Barrett!

Flower arrangements: Bows & Arrows

Custom chargers and wine glasses with hand placed crystals, atop grey and white rabbit furs. Centerpiece was white rock crystal stones with silver glitter branches and white ostrich plumes.

These were some of my favorite pieces! Floor arrangements with hand tied bridal tulle puffs, black willow sticks, and foam flowers. Behind, hanging feather and bridal tulle pomanders! I want to hang them everywhere... my husband, on the other hand... does not. ha! Cake below from Opulent Cakes - fabulous!

I have to end with my favorite casual dress... I can’t pick a favorite wedding gown since my choice would be the one in my closet, from that 21st day in May last year... so, my pick is this fabulous short gown with ostrich feather bottom and white ostrich boots, with matching hand bag of course! And, every girl needs accessories like this one from Ivanka Trump’s collection at Bachendorfs... no problem, for a cool $26,000 its yours! I can dream.....

More pictures from the event in my portfolio!

Go Ahead, Judge This Book By It’s Cover...

It’s supremely cracked, torn and wonderfully delicious vintage cover that is. Initially perplexed at the Aldredge House on what to use for a centerpiece, while designing Danielle’s bridal shoot, the answer was there... high on a shelf. Books. Loads of literature for the taking!

So, with some help from the fabulous Amy Karp, I stacked, leaned, propped and styled leather bound stories for a conversation worthy centerpiece. Miniature birds and nests perched on every vintage china placesetting... and, no linens? Great! Using pages from the books... I created my own custom table runner. Plus - no dirty table cloths! Vintage gloves and a strand of pearls strung from the chandelier completed the look.

It just goes to show, that necessity truly is the mother of invention... and mom’s are always right.

Enjoy!

Personally, I love the miniature birds and nest place settings... If I do say so myself...

Tied on every hand wrapped placesetting - cinnamon sticks of course!

So, unfortunately for technology, there are some things that the “Kindle" and “Nook" can’t do...

More to come soon, until then... might I suggest a good book?

I was so excited to be asked to style and design a bridal shoot by Amy Karp of the lovely bride to be, Danielle. A team of make-up artists, hairstylists, and of course Amy and I met at the beautiful Aldredge House in Dallas for her bridals... here is a sneak peek!

Much more to come soon,

xoxo

I am such a sucker for all things vintage, and of course... pink!

{Bride of Green Gables}

Every bride dreams of her wedding day starting at that ripe young age when she first see’s “Cinderella", or dare I say, “Princess Bride”...  she will envision fabulous decor, lucious flowers, perfect pictures, delicious cakes, and amazing invitations inviting all her loved ones to her long awaited day when she will wear that special dress in the exact shade of ivory or crisp white... But, somewhere between that childhood dream and the ring on her finger there is a disconnect - there is stress, confusion, worry and strife... all for the happiest day of her life?

So, enter One Stop Shop. No, we are not a fairy tale, we are  industry professionals  here to save the day, give you a wonderful wedding and make all your childhood fantasies come to life, minus a pumpkin carraige and glass slipper... who can walk in that?

Individually we all own our own businesses but collaborated for this years “Unveiled Bridal Show" to offer a “One Stop Shop” for our brides, so she can hand pick the services needed. See below one of our collaborative photo shoots I fondly entitled, “Bride of Green Gables”

See it featured on Postcards & Pretties!

More to come soon!

xoxo

Have a Pink! Valentines... And Raise Your Glass...

When my client asked me to create something fabulous, pink and feathered for her party I knew I had to wait and post it on Valentines for all my single ladies who want to party and celebrate like Beyonce!  Who cares if we want signature drinks, chandeliers and feathers... its our party and we can do what we want to....

So, in the spirit of Pink! raise your glass.... and celebrate February 14th, single or in love... (Psst! Click on links for some jams while you view the pics to get you in the party mood!)

Custom feather pomander balls flanking a chandelier? Yes Please!

The above feathered chair cover was a secret surprise I had for the guest of honor - I LOVE it! The below candy bar features adult candy like pomegranate martini, lemon drop martini and pina colada pop corn. Yum...

Hand cut paper feathers completed the theme, as guests signed in on paper plumes! To my wonderful friend Stefanie and her fabulous hubby Nick - shout out - thank you for tirelessly helping me create these pretties!

So single or married, dating or stag, Happy Valentines Day - hope it was fab! xoxo
